Maharashtra medical, surgical, hospital equipment dealers meet, a roaring success
Mumbai 12th October: Recently concluded, medical device dealer meet in the up market Bandra Kurla complex Mumbai met with an overwhelming response. The first of its kind event organized by Distributor Search India – (India’s only platform for identifying medical product dealers and distributors) was held at BKC on the 10th October 2012 . The meet was to facilitate the manufacturers of medical device to identify dealers for their products for various cities of Maharashtra. Majority of the participants and visitors were high in their praise for the novel concept that saw the manufacturers of medical device meeting one-on-one with the dealers in a posh business environment. Only genuinely interested dealers participated as a pre-screening was done through a pre-registration process. The meet saw participation from a wide cross section of medical device manufacturers like physiotherapy, dermatology, gynecology, dental, cardiology etc. The dealer meet attracted medical equipment and products dealers from various parts of Maharashtra like Mumbai, Pune, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nasik, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Thane, Ahmednagar among others. Dealers were of the opinion that this kind of event is great for them as it gives them undivided attention of the manufacturers which is not possible in other event formats. They also added that the format makes them comfortable, as they can discuss the dealer terms and conditions freely as they meet on a one-on-one basis. The same views were also expressed by the manufacturers. The organizers said the meet was necessitated, as the manufacturers spend a lot of time identifying the right set of dealers for their business and this delay was hurting their business growth. The organizers said that in-spite of the dealer/ distributor being an important aspect of the medical trade there is no proper channel for communication between the manufacturers and dealers. The organizers promised that they will put in more efforts to further bridge the communication gap through various endeavors. |
